SAMBA SCHOOLS AND THEIR TRAJECTORY

Samba schools, without a doubt, are a social phenomenon with more than a hundred years of history.

The schools were created, for the most part, within the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. Their songs and costumes were a form of protest, always fun. Over the years, they became companies in the great Carnival Carnival industry and much of this essence had been lost. But after several coups and crises, I would say that samba schools have been reborn... and have rediscovered, especially in the last two years, their true vocation: telling the truth about their people through the samba school parade!

Today, samba schools have assumed that they are organic intellectuals of the class. A true spokesperson for the people!! After all, the social function of the samba school is to educate and politicize its people.

Nowadays, more than ever, schools prepare epic, apotheotic and historic parades in every sense!

Visiting a samba school is having the opportunity to get to know and experience a little of the spectacle that is preparing for the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

Watching the samba school parade means being able to applaud a great cultural spectacle up close!
