REGULATIONS FOR THE SAMBA SCHOOL PARADE IN RIO DE JANEIRO
Samba Schools must be aware of the judging criteria for the nine items and the requirements of the Parade Regulations, which provide for penalties for specific situations. Learn the main details:
PARADE TIME: Each School must perform for between 65 and 75 minutes. For each minute that is missing the minimum time or exceeding the maximum time, a penalty of 0.1 (one tenth) will be applied.
DISPERSION: Each group must remove all floats and props from the dispersal area within 2 hours and 20 minutes from the effective start of their parade. If they exceed this time, they will have to pay a fine of R$60,000.
DRUMMERS: Minimum of 200, grouped in the drum section. Penalty of 0.5 (half a point) if the minimum number is not reached.
BAIANAS: Minimum of 70 grouped in the same wing. Penalty of 0.5 (half a point) if the minimum number is not respected.
ALLEGORIES: Each School must present a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 6 allegories. Penalty of 0.5 (half a point) if the minimum limit is not reached or the maximum limit is exceeded. Detail: mechanical failure that separates the attached float: penalty of 0.1 (one tenth).
TRIPODS: Up to three motorized or pushed stage elements (tripods) may be presented, with up to two people on each, with the exception of the stage element used by the Front Committee. However, if more than three tripods are presented, the group may suffer a loss of 0.1 ra (one tenth).
FRONT COMMISSION: Each School must present a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 extras in this category. Penalty of 0.5 (half a point) if the minimum limit is not reached or the maximum limit is exceeded. Detail: if the Front Commission does not appear before Sector 3, it will be penalized with 0.1 (one tenth).
