General Terms and Conditions of Purchase

Responsibility for tickets

Once payment for your purchase order has been processed, you will immediately receive a voucher via email (which is the copy of your purchase order with the identification number). Customers must check the data and products contained in the order(s) – quantity, description, values, dates and names – upon receipt and, in case of discrepancy, urgently contact the Customer Service Center by email . The Buyer will also receive, within 2 business days after confirming payment for the order, an email with ticket delivery instructions.

Orders received must be exchanged for physical or digital tickets, on dates close to the event, according to the method determined by the event organization. The ticket type will be informed in the purchase confirmation email, as well as all instructions for receiving your tickets. If the customer does not complete the necessary online procedure to send the digital ticket, or misses the deadline determined by Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, they will not be able to receive the ticket and will not be subject to any type of refund. The customer must report any discrepancy between the digital ticket received within 24 hours of receiving the ticket.

Tickets are not nominal. Once in the customers' possession, delivered via online application or physically collected at the delivery points determined by Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, they are the exclusive responsibility of the customers, and cannot be replaced in the event of theft, loss, damage or loss. . No refunds will be given under any of these circumstances.

For security reasons, tickets will be delivered to the purchaser or to third parties as long as they are approved in prior communication with Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour. To collect tickets at our delivery point, it is MANDATORY to present the original identity document with photo of the PURCHASE HOLDER, AND THE PHYSICAL CREDIT CARD USED IN THE PURCHASE. Printed, digital, xerox, photography, scanning, clipping or any other format that is not physical and original of the documents mentioned will not be accepted. These requirements have been established for your own safety and are essential for ticket delivery.

Collections by Third Parties: Collection of tickets by third parties is possible, as long as it is communicated to our agents by email in advance. Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour agents will inform you of the mandatory documents that must be sent and analyzed in advance. Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour will analyze the documentation and may or may not approve delivery to third parties if the documentation sent is incomplete or inappropriate. Box tickets cannot be authorized for collection by third parties in case of payment by card.

We reserve the right to photograph the requested documents, keeping the security code of the credit card used private, for later proof of the purchase with credit card companies, if necessary. Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour reserves the right to request any additional documentation from customers for the purpose of proving the purchase. If the requested documents are not presented, we reserve the right to cancel the purchase.

Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour cannot take into account unanswered communications and requests, whether by email, chat or any other service channel. If the customer does not respond, we reserve the right to cancel and resell the purchased items, as well as interrupt the delivery service, and no refund will be applied.

Ticket availability may change at any time up to 14 days before the event, which is why we reserve the right to cancel any item in any purchase up to 2 weeks before the ticket date. Although unlikely, in the event of these cases, Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour will offer, whenever possible, free upgrades or full refund options for all canceled items. In this case, the refund will be made in the same amount, currency and payment method used at the time of purchase.

Tickets for Frisas, sector 9 stands and numbered seats are determined by draw. The ticket buyer will only be informed of the exact location when collecting the ticket. We cannot inform or guarantee a specific location.

Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour requires all customers to sign a receipt or register email confirmation upon receipt of tickets and/or costumes. Only the holder of the purchase may sign the credit authorization receipt or, if the holder has authorized delivery to third parties, it will be necessary to follow the procedure for Delivery to Third Parties.

General Purchase and Cancellation Conditions

As provided for in Brazilian Law, cancellations within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase are subject to a refund/return, as long as the cancellation is made within 48 hours before the date of the event. After 7 days of purchase, there is no refund/refund of the amount paid for your product or service. Purchases made within 48 hours or less of the day of the event will not be entitled to cancellation under any circumstances.

The cancellation and/or refund request must always be made in writing, by the purchaser, via email at [email protected]. Our call center will respond to cancellation requests within up to 3 (three) business days after the request has been duly formalized at the email address provided above. Once approved, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase, within a period of up to 30 (business) days, counting from the approval of the refund, which will be sent by email.

For payments made via credit card, the refund can be displayed on your card statement on up to three invoices. This deadline is independent of Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, as it is due to the internal procedures of the credit card administrator used.

If the Carnival Parade is postponed for any reason, we will not refund the amount paid, we will only transfer the ticket to the new date defined by the event organizers. Tickets for the new dates will respect the original purchase. New vouchers will be issued within 30 days of the postponement announcement.

Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, as an authorized travel agent, is not responsible for delays or even cancellations of the event, in part or in full, that are beyond our control, or that include, but are not limited to: conditions adverse weather conditions such as rain, storms, flooding or congestion, strikes, accidents, fires, flight delays, interruption of avenues or access roads, closure of airports or similar events.

There will be no refund if there is a delay or suspension of the samba school parade, resulting from the occurrence of an extraordinary or unpredictable situation beyond the control of the organizers, or resulting from a determination by administrative, governmental authorities and the Judiciary. Specific exceptional cases will be governed in accordance with the manner provided for by current legislation.

The value of packages and/or tickets will also not be refunded in the event of samba schools withdrawing from participation or even canceling the event by authorities or by LIESA and LIERJ themselves. No refund will be given, under any circumstances, if the customer does not attend the event for the reasons mentioned above or for any other reasons.

All prices displayed on our websites are per person, in Real (Brazilian currency) and are subject to change without prior notice, whether due to exchange rate changes, special promotions, rate changes or increases in operating costs, until payment is made. full payment is made and received by Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour.

Ticket prices may vary, as a result of negotiations and pre-purchases with suppliers. In no case will a refund be given for part or all of the purchase made, outside of the cancellation and refund rules described above. No refunds will be given under any circumstances if online prices on a particular date are lower than the prices paid for a particular product or service.

Various forms of payment are accepted, according to the commercial negotiation published on the website. Payments made by credit card will be subject to approval of the transaction and confirmation of receipt by the company managing the credit card used and/or by the customer's banking institution. Payments made by bank deposit, electronic transfer or PIX are always in cash and can take up to 3 business days to be confirmed, approved and processed.

Electronic Commerce (Security for Credit/Debit Card operations): The privacy of the customer's credit card is our main concern. When purchasing our services on our server – ticket packages, transfers, tours, costumes – your data will be protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This technology uses advanced encryption tools to protect information transmitted between the acquisition method, such as a computer or cell phone, and our servers. Through encryption, personal information entered – including name, address and card information used – is converted into codes, while customers browse the internet securely.

Tickets are purchased by Rio Carnaval Tickets through a request letter from an agency registered with ABAV (Brazilian travel agency association) in Rio de Janeiro based on the specific demand made at our points of sale.

About Children under 5 years of age at the Sambódromo – Children under 5 years of age CANNOT enter the Sambadrome, as determined by the Rio de Janeiro courts, even if accompanied by their parents and/or legal guardians and carrying tickets. Entry to the event will not be permitted in any way. No refund will be given under any circumstances, for ticket packages or transfers, for minors or companions, in the case of impossibility of using the ticket and consequent access to the event for the reason mentioned above.

Special conditions for home delivery – Delivery Service

You can opt for a special delivery service to tourist areas within the city of Rio de Janeiro. In this case, a fee will be charged. Special delivery service must be scheduled in advance, with delivery time and address.

Special delivery service will only be able to wait 10 minutes after arrival to obtain the buyer's signature. If delivery fails because the receipt is not signed by the buyer's designated person, or for any reason (e.g., the person is unavailable or at the address, is late, does not have acceptable identification, refuses to sign for the delivery, or the address provided is incorrect or unidentifiable), tickets will be returned to the Customer Service Center in Copacabana, where they will be available on the event date for collection by 6pm local time. Refunds will not be applied to such tickets not collected for any reason.

Special conditions – Purchase of Costumes

Costumes purchased for Rio Carnival are NOT refundable. Carnival costumes are made to order, therefore, cancellations will not be accepted for any reason. None of the costumes purchased by email or through our website are refundable under any circumstances. The participant must present themselves to the person responsible for their Wing at the Samba School Concentration 2 hours in advance, at the place and time that will be informed to the client by email.

Costume measurements – We are not responsible for any misunderstandings or incorrect information related to measurements received by customers.

Costumes are an important part of the parade and count points for the school in competition, so they cannot be mischaracterized, modified, or have any piece or accessory missing. Participants cannot have any objects on display, such as clothes that detract from their costume, fanny packs, bags, backpacks, cameras, among other objects, under penalty of being prevented from parading by school officials. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

Samba schools reserve the right to make changes to the commercial advertising model/prototype. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

Costume Delivery: The costume will be delivered and must be checked in person by the customer at the time of delivery, at your hotel, on a pre-scheduled date and time. The special delivery service will only be able to wait 10 minutes after the scheduled time to wait for the buyer who is absent. If delivery fails for any reason (e.g., buyer is unavailable or at the address, does not have identification, refuses to sign for delivery, or the address provided is incorrect or unidentifiable), the costume buyer must contact Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour to schedule a new delivery, if possible, with an additional cost of R$ 200 for the buyer to be paid in advance of the new scheduled date.

Special conditions – Shuttle Service to the Sambadrome 

About Transfer: Our transfer service only serves the odd sides of the Sambadrome (3, 5, 7, 9 and 11). The transfer guides will stop by the hotel lobby/reception or meeting point at the time scheduled in the reservation. It is not the Guide's responsibility to call customers to their apartments. We always recommend arriving at least 10 minutes in advance at the hotel lobby/reception or chosen meeting point. As it is divided into routes, the transfer may be delayed, always within the margin, without affecting the arrival time. You must have your purchase voucher/receipt on hand. You will receive a bracelet from the guide to identify you when using our service. Keep the bracelet on your arm at all times until you return to the hotel. You will not be able to board the return bus without your identification bracelet. In case of cancellation or failure to show up at the indicated time and place, this amount is non-refundable and will not be paid.

The transfer service is shared in a group, it is not a private service. Transport is by van, minibus or bus. The transfer service does not include the entrance ticket to the event. Before boarding the bus, make sure you have your ticket in hand. It is not permitted to bring parade costumes. Unfortunately we cannot transport wheelchair users, we do not have the necessary infrastructure for this.

Return: the transfer leaves immediately after the end of the parade from each of the samba schools, from the second school to the last, and will take you to the same hotel where you boarded. Inside the Sambadrome, go to the meeting point previously agreed with the transfer guide and follow the instructions. Our meeting point is SECTOR 9. Keep in mind that the transfers that leave after the last school's parade, which is busier, leave up to 30 minutes after the parades end. We suggest that, if you wish to stay until the end, you go immediately to the transfer meeting point as soon as the parade passes through your sector. The transfer does not wait and is not responsible for those who miss the final time, 30 minutes after closing. No refund will be given under any circumstances if the customer does not follow the instructions given in this term or misses the transfer times.

Special conditions – Travel packages, accommodation and tourist services

Full payment must be made 100% before the date of check in or performance of services. Confirmations and vouchers will only be valid after payment for the service in full. All reservations are subject to changes in price and availability until paid in full. Hotel vouchers will only be sent after full payment has been received.

Changes and cancellations of travel packages and tourist services: If the customer needs to change their travel plans after booking, certain restrictions may apply. Cancellations are non-refundable, subject to the conditions of the Consumer Protection Code. Rebooking policies may vary depending on the hotel and/or the company providing the service. Changes may be subject to increases in accordance with the policies of the hotels and other service providers involved. As provided for in Brazilian Law, cancellations within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase are subject to a refund/return, as long as the cancellation is made within 48 hours before the date of the event. After 7 days of purchase, there is no refund/refund of the amount paid for your product or service. Purchases made 48 hours or less before the event will not be entitled to cancellation under any circumstances.

Responsibility: Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour act solely as agents for passengers in all matters relating to travel. There is no liability for any loss, damage or delay to persons or property, or in connection with any accommodation, transport or other services, resulting directly or indirectly from inclement weather, dangers at sea, machinery fires or equipment breakdown, illness, epidemics, medical or customs regulations, theft, labor disputes, strikes, riots, robberies, government restrictions, hostilities, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism of any kind, wars declared or not, insufficiency or inadequacy of issued passports and/or visas and other documents, or for any other reasons beyond the scope of Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour.

Final dispositions

All disputes and matters will be processed in litigation, if necessary, and before a court located in Rio de Janeiro, excluding the courts of any other city, municipality or state. Upon the issuance and purchase of tickets and/or other items relating to services provided by Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, acceptance of the above terms is considered.

By purchasing any carnival item from Rio Carnaval Tickets / Rio Alternative Tour, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions of sale.
